A Tale of Two Teams
The start of a new MLB season brings with it a fresh chapter in the ongoing Cubs-White Sox rivalry, especially amongst each franchise's respective fan base.
To get a better idea of where exactly allegiances fall within Chicago neighborhoods, Vivid Seats ticket data was analyzed for each club for sales that took place during the 2013-15 seasons.
Check out the map below for the full breakdown of where the most tickets have been purchased for each team. "Cubs neighborhoods" have been designated blue, "White Sox neighborhoods" are in black, and red is for ties.
Highlights:
*Perhaps as expected, the Cubs have sold the most tickets in neighborhoods north and northwest of the Loop, though also won two South Side neighborhoods: Woodlawn and Morgan Park.
*Ties were calculated in North and South Lawndale, Brighton Park, and Gage Park.
