8 Incredible Celine Dion Duets

May 06, 2016 by Alyssa

Celine Dion Duets

Celine Dion is one of the most powerful singers alive today, but that hasn’t stopped her from inviting a long list of artists to share the stage with her. After notable solo hits like “My Heart Will Go On” and “Because You Loved Me,” some of the best-known Celine Dion songs are her duets. The star has sung with a wide range of musicians, including everyone from classical great Luciano Pavarotti to R&B star R. Kelly. No matter the duet partner, Dion makes each artist’s voice shine in a new way when she performs with them live.

Check out videos of eight of her greatest live duets below, and don’t forget to buy Celine Dion tickets for one of her upcoming concerts.

“The Prayer” with Andrea Bocelli

Celine’s duet of “The Prayer” with Andrea Bocelli is one of her best-known songs for a good reason. The two masterful vocalists have sung this hit many times over the years, but this clip from a concert in Central Park with the New York Philharmonic is a special treat.

“Beauty and the Beast” with Peabo Bryson

Fans of the animated Disney feature “Beauty and the Beast” will remember Dion’s powerful contribution to the film’s soundtrack. Here she sings the famous title track live with R&B vocalist Peabo Bryson, an accomplished singer in his own right.

“Hallelujah” with the Canadian Tenors

During the Canadian Tenors’ performance on an episode of “Oprah,” Celine Dion surprised the quartet mid-performance on stage. Her perfect harmonizing makes the group’s performance of “Hallelujah” a memorable one, and it’s great to see the surprise on their faces when she walks out.

“Vois Comme C’est Beau” with Claudette Dion

Although Celine’s sister Claudette is less well-known in the world of music, the Quebec native is also a singer. In 1985 the two sisters released a duet of the song “Vois Comme C’est Beau” for one of Claudette’s albums.

“The Prayer” with Josh Groban

Josh Groban got his big break when he stood in for Andrea Bocelli in a rehearsal with Celine Dion. To this day, their version of “The Prayer” is one of the most moving songs in Groban’s repertoire.

“I Believe in You” with Il Divo

Dion’s collaboration with international vocal outfit Il Divo is an uplifting hit that was featured on her 2005 album “On ne change pas.” The single was also selected as one of the official songs of the 2006 World Cup.

“Incredible” with Ne-Yo

Over the years Celine Dion has collaborated with many R&B artists, and her duet with Ne-Yo is one to remember. One of the more recent entries on this list, “Incredible” comes off her 2013 album “Loved Me Back to Life.”

“I Hate You Then I Love You” with Luciano Pavarotti

During a 1998 Pavarotti and Friends concert in Italy, Dion joined the famed Italian tenor on stage to perform their duet “I Hate You Then I Love You.” The song originally appeared on Dion’s 1997 album “Let’s Talk About Love.”
