It looked like a 2022 BTS tour in the U.S. would never happen, but the beloved K-pop boy band has once again delighted its massive fan base.

BTS announced 2022 tour dates for a four-concert "tour" that will take place entirely at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

The performances will take place in April with shows on Friday and Saturday nights, along with another pair of concerts on Friday and Saturday of the following week.

The group is calling the event Permission to Dance on Stage, a nod to its hit single--and its first non-virtual concert performance since the start of the pandemic.

BTS is also offering fans that missed out on Permission to Dance on Stage tickets to see them perform live via their Permission to Dance Live Play events at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The BTS event will be held at the same time as the Las Vegas concerts as an in-person live broadcast event. 

In December 2019, BTS announced a 2020 Map of the Soul tour, which was scheduled to run from April through June, featuring stops in Atlanta and Orlando, new concert destinations for BTS.

However, the Covid-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the entire Map of the Soul tour, leaving BTS ARMY uncertain when they'd see another live performance.

Prior to their Permission to Dance - Las Vegas concerts, the K-pop stars will be making a long-awaited and triumphant return to stage on March 10, 12 and 13 at the Seoul Olympic Stadium in Seoul, South Korea. 

BTS has helped pioneer the growth of K-pop in the US. As BTS has grown in popularity, the BTS Army continues to grow and get more diverse.

BTS was named the Vivid Seats Artist of the Year in both 2018 and 2019.
