About The Masters Tournament

The Masters Tournament is one of only four major golf championships in men's professional golf, and it is the first one of every year. It is also frequently called the Masters, or the US Masters outside the United States. The final match of the Masters usually takes place on the second Sunday of April. In comparison with other major championships, the Masters is the only one, which takes place annually at the same place, namely at Augusta National Golf Club. This is a private golf club in Augusta, Georgia, USA. The Masters tournament was initiated by Clifford Roberts and Bobby Jones, who designed Augusta National with the well-known course architect Alister MacKenzie.
