Watch as this rivalry, dubbed the Battle in the Apple, is rekindled in a big way when Syracuse battles Notre Dame inside MetLife Stadium for the 2014 installment of New York's College Classic. Typically home to the NFL's New York Jets and New York Giants, this massive venue will open its doors to fans of both these NCAA powerhouse teams on Sept. 27. This matchup between the Orange and Fighting Irish marks the first since 2008 and will be the fourth of the 2014 season. Read on for more information about the stadium's guidelines for game day.
MetLife Stadium Seating Information
For Notre Dame vs Syracuse, all levels of seating will be available for football fans in attendance. Closest to the field are the 100-level seats, ranging from 101-149. Next is the 200-level mezzanine--which includes some suite options--with Sections 201-250. The 300-level is furthest from the field, with options in sections 301-350. Please also note there are several unique suite options available in the Hertz President's Circle Suites, Hertz Club Five Star Suites, and the Hertz #1 Club Gold Suites.
MetLife Stadium General Information
Small bags are allowed, along with factory-sealed bottles of water and clear plastic bags of food. Guests may not, however, bring any bottles, coolers, or thermoses into the stadium. Banners, flags, strollers, umbrellas, and professional cameras are also prohibited.
MetLife Stadium Parking Information
A host of parking lots will be available adjacent to the stadium for this game. Generally, parking fees will be paid on site either with cash or credit card.
MetLife Stadium Tailgating Information
Tailgating is permitted in the lots around MetLife Stadium except in the IZOD Center parking garage; however, certain strict guidelines are in place for tailgating in the lots for the safety of guests. All vehicles, guests, and equipment must only take up one parking space. Grills are permitted, but any used coals must be thrown away in the designated containers throughout the lots.
MetLife Stadium Gate Times
Gates typically open two hours prior to kickoff, but this is subject to change for the Syracuse-Notre Dame game.
MetLife Stadium Accessibility
Accessible seating is available on all levels of MetLife Stadium, and parking spaces are available in lots E, F, and G on site. There are also usually plenty of elevators and ramps, as well as drop-off services, and options for assisted listening devices available at the stadium. Coordinate with the guest services department ahead of time if any unique accommodations are necessary.
